FC Minneapolis Captain Samuel Otieno likely to return on Monday after weeks of being sidelined!

The City Lions Player-Manager Ian Sendi confirmed on Friday that his first team Skipper will be joining the rest of the team on Monday during the Club’s regular training at North Hennepin.

The Kenyan Center back has been out for the past 4 weeks due to a prolonged injury he picked up during the club’s opener with Oromo United on May 6th at the Gordy Aarmoth. Otieno will be teaming up with Sendi’s new signings Brian Osinde and Delki Yormie to further strengthen the City Lions’ defence.

“I have been very weak but as of today, I feel ready to return to work.” Said Otieno on Friday.

In a brief statement, Sendi spoke of his delight in the defender’s return! “We have tough games in a few days to come and I am sure our captain’s return will only serve to further boost our confidence.” Said Sendi.

Other players expected to return on Monday include Justin Moore, Emmanuel Togar, and Mark Dweh. Washington Jimenez continues to stay sidelined due to his knee injury but he has been making a steady recovery and we are expecting he will be cleared to play again shortly.
