FC Minneapolis & Hippy Feet to donate winter socks to homeless people this Saturday!

Hippy Feet, which made its official launch in September, is a social organization that sells high-end fashion socks, made in the USA and out of 85% recycled material. For every pair of socks sold, another pair will be donated to a local homeless shelter or individual. To date, Hippy Feet has been able to donate 1,500 pairs of socks to the Twin Cities area.

Now it’s time to get more socks to more people and to do this HippyFeet is teaming up with FC Minneapolis, Americas leading Non-league professional soccer team based here in Minneapolis. The team’s goal is to be a pathway to professional soccer as well as have a positive impact in the community!

Starting at 10 am this Saturday, the Hippy Feet team, as well as players from FC Minneapolis, will be hitting the streets near Nicollet Mall in downtown Minneapolis passing out new pairs of socks to individuals in need.

FC Minneapolis is very excited to team up with Hippy Feet to further get connected with the local community. “This is the type of event that fits with the very soul of the club,” Said FC Minneapolis Director of Marketing & Community relations, Steve Donofrio.

“We look forward to working with FC Minneapolis this weekend to further our efforts to support individuals less fortunate.” Said Hippy Feet founder, Michael Mader.

Be on the lookout for Hippy Feet and the FC Minneapolis team sporting their player jerseys downtown this Saturday, March 4th and make sure to show your support for these two great organizations as they collaborate to give back to the homeless community.
