The City Lions will be heading to Michigan early this Thursday morning in a bid to prepare themselves for their semifinal matchup with Texas’ ASC New Stars this Friday, August 20th, 4:30 pm at Michigan Stars Sports Complex in Washington, Michigan.
A win would see them drawn against either Ann Arbor FC or Lansdowne Yonkers which are scheduled to go shoulder to shoulder this Friday in the other Cup’s semifinal scheduled for 6:30 pm.
The City Lions will be led by their Captain Ian Sendi who will be assisted by Nigeria’s Gafar Ayodele and Jamaica’s Layton Blair.
According to head coach Oluwalaanu David, we should expect to see some familiar faces in Friday’s campaign which may include but not limited to Italy’s Anthony Leo, Hoduras’ Luis Rodriguez, Trinidad’s Christopher Aparicio, Eritrea’s La’el Daniel, Mexico’s Miguel Lopez to mention but a few.
The team is scheduled to camp at the Baymont Hotel this Thursday evening where they will reside throughout the duration of the Championship.
