FC Minneapolis takes its International Players Exchange Program to Ugandan Schools.

Beginning in the 2020 season, FC Minneapolis will be launching its International Players Exchange Program in select Ugandan schools as a way of offering a unique and affordable opportunity to talented players currently seeking a chance to kick-start their playing careers in America by providing them with a playing platform in one of the fastest growing National pro-development soccer leagues in the US, the United Premier Soccer League.

In addition to being offered a highly competitive playing platform, selected players will get a chance to tryout with other professional teams where they can be scouted and signed as well as trying out with American Universities to potentially earn scholarships to further realize their academic goals.

Players will have an opportunity to participate in all the club’s events, training sessions, friendly games and all other competitions throughout the season after arriving in the United States, and FC Minneapolis has appointed Ntege Richard, a CAF C License holder football coach  as their Country Representative in Uganda to help in the management, supervision, and in ensuring the overall success of the program within that region.

According to his appointment letter, Mr. Ntege will have the authority to represent the club in all matters to do with the program including but not limited to player recruitment, as well as act as the bridge between players, their families, and FC Minneapolis.

Registration of new players for the 2020 season is currently open and will be closing on November 1st, 2019. To learn more about registration requirements, costs, duration, and all other benefits and facets of the program send an email to info@fcminneapolis.com or visit the International Players’ page at www.fcminneapolis.com.
