Gafar Ayodele agrees to three more years with FC Minneapolis.

Following a series of discussions, and arrangements, the club is pleased to announce that Gafar has agreed to 3 more years with the City Lions.

The Nigerian goalkeeper first played his official United Premier Soccer League match for FC Minneapolis in the spring of 2019, and since then, he has been a regular starter for David Adeola’s side in all major competitions including the league, the National Cup, and the Fall Cup.

His top-notch goalkeeping skills have enabled the club to register tremendous success within the previous years.

Gafar has also been one of the team captains throughout the past 2 years and his notable leadership coupled with his exemplary lifestyle on and off the field have been a positive influence on the whole squad, and there’s reason to believe that his continued presence at the club will help improve the team in more ways than have been imagined.

He is expected to be at training this weekend as the club continues to prepare for its preseason opener with Granite City on February 28th.
