FC Minneapolis comes from behind to defeat Tonka United 2-3 in a practice game.

Yesterday the City Lions were seen back in action when they took on Tonka United FC at the Tonka turf in Minnetonka in a practice game that ended 2-3 in favor of the visitors.

Tonka took an early lead but the City Lions were able to equalize before the hosts found the net again to make it 2-1 in their favor.

The City Lions were able to come back strong scoring twice to find a 3-2 lead by half time. Goals were scored by Sudan’s Abunyanyi Lual (2) and Ghana’s Kwaku Amoah (1).

FC Minneapolis would like to appreciate the entire Tonka United Club for choosing to host them for a training game which the club believes was paramount in their preparations for 2017 season.

The City Lions haven’t had any games in their legs yet and them playing with Tonka was helpful to see where the club is standing technically and mentally.

The City Lions will be releasing their schedule for 2017 by March 24th, 2017.
