With the UPSL season being back, and with the first game being scheduled for the first week of May 2021, the club would like to give its fans and stakeholders some updates on what’s being planned and what’s going on in the City Lions’ camp.
In order to get the team ready for the United Premier Soccer League and potentially the US National Cup, FC Minneapolis is going to have a few activities not limited to preseason games, practices, and tryouts.
The Club’s first preseason game is scheduled for Saturday, January 30th at 10:45 am against the Minneapolis Internationals at the Park Center Dome in Brooklyn Park, MN.
The second preseason game will be Sunday, February 14th at 9:45 pm against Mande FC at the Park Center Dome.
In March, the club will kick off the month with a preseason friendly against Turbo on Saturday, March 13th, 9:45 pm at the Park Center Dome. This will be followed by an open men’s soccer tryout on Saturday, March 20th, at 9:00 pm at the Park Center Dome which will be geared towards recruiting extra talents to strengthen its men’s UPSL ahead of the summer season.
FC Minneapolis will play its last Preseason game on Saturday, March 27th, 9:45 pm but the opponent is yet to be determined.
In April, the club plans to have its first game of the US National Cup in the second week and then the second game in the last week of April if the team qualifies.
FC Minneapolis is also planning the second edition of the MINNESOTA FALL CUP between September and October 2021 after the conclusion of the summer season of the United Premier Soccer League whose last regular-season game is scheduled not later than July 4th of 2021.
The Club will communicate at length with all relevant parties on how its program is going to look like concerning practices, and other events.
