American Premier League statistics show FC Minneapolis’ Darius Sango at the top of the league’s leader board as of August 13 2015.
The Liberian center forward has so far scored 8 goals in four games and had earlier set a personal record of finding the back of the net until last weekend at Hazelwood when he failed to utilize two clear goal scoring chances in a game that ended 1-1 against Minnesota Cranes.
He is being challenged by Midinimo’s Rabic Ganni with 5 goals in second place and teammate Jonathan Imani Mulenda with 4 goals in third position.
Jonathan Mulenda has scored in each league game for FC Minneapolis and he is currently the only league player with such a record.
Speaking to Varney Cole, an interim coach at FC Minneapolis, he says that Darius and Jonathan’s record gives them hope for the games ahead.
“Like all our team players, they listen to instructions and follow the game system well. That has helped them have a successful season.” Varney spoke of his forwards today in a phone interview.
Ali Mohammad Midnimo’s head coach also returns this week from Seattle Wachington where his side has been for an international tournament.
“Rabic Ganni is a good forward. He has stood out on many occasions during big games. Now that we have only domestic league games to focus on, I believe he will concentrate well and even go beyond our expectations.” Said Mohammad
