Following an impressive performance at the previous trials, FC Minneapolis coaches were left with a tough choice to make of who to cut and who to invite back.
“This is never a simple decision, especially after every player has given their best but as a coach, you have to lead and try to make the best decision for the club and the players.” Said David Oluwalaanu.
Players were evaluated holistically. Their technical competency, tactical awareness, and physical ability had to be over the average and they had to demonstrate beyond reasonable doubt that they have character enough for life in the United Premier Soccer League.
The selected players include Peterson Juene, Assem Elsayad, Jason Isidoro, Chee Lee, Hugo Ruis, Garrett Fergusson, and Takato Maramarsu.
These are expected to start training with the first team on Tuesday, April 19th, and should be available for selection during the club’s upcoming match with Eau Claire on April 24th.
