After three successive years at the Osseo Stadium in Osseo Minnesota, The City Lions come roaring back at the Orioles Stadium in St Louis Park, a vibrant suburb roughly about 12 minutes from downtown Minneapolis.
Given its large international presence and a friendly sports culture coupled with booming small and large businesses, this looks like a perfect place for the City Lions to set up their Den and continue their commitment to building a brand of entertaining football while providing high-quality playing platforms for both local and international players.
“I played here 8 years ago. I have great memories of great teammates and coaches. I am excited to be back home.” Ian Sendi spoke of his experience at the Stadium.
Fc Minneapolis last used Orioles as its home Stadium in 2014 before moving to Hopkins, Minnetonka, and finally, Osseo from where they have been playing until schedule remodeling at the Stadium interrupted their summer schedule hence a move back to a town of its early days; St Louis Park.
The City Lions will be hosting all their United Premier Soccer League games at the Orioles along with any other cup or friendly events that may be announced.
FC Minneapolis’ first game at Orioles is scheduled for Wednesday, May 11th against Turbo FC at 7:00 pm.
