The 21-year-old defender joined FC Minneapolis earlier in the Spring of this year and he made his club’s debut on Wednesday, May 3rd when he came in for Uganda’s Micheal Ssekitoleko in the club’s opening match of the UPSL with Black Hawks in Maple Grove.
Carey who originates from Michigan barely got enough play in his debut but he has since enjoyed a comfortable start in the City Lions squad for the past two games and it’s likely the young American coming from Northland College will remain determined to keep his position in the club’s first team.
Speaking to David Oluwalaanu, the Club’s Head Coach, he said, “Thomas is a very hardworking player who focuses on his job from start to finish. His discipline and sportsmanship bring a vital contribution to the whole squad that we believe will help us tremendously moving forward.
FC Minneapolis will be traveling to Wisconsin this afternoon for their fourth game of the season against Superior City FC and Thomas is expected to be in the starting lineup as earlier communicated by the team’s media channels.
