Australia’s Benjamin Lee to stay at FC Minneapolis come summer 2016.

Benjamin who has come through the ranks at FC Minneapolis, the midfielder has a keen eye for a pass.

A utility player who can play at full-back, left-midfield or center-midfield, he is extremely tenacious and does not know the meaning of the word defeat. He patrols the flank effectively and is capable of supplying inviting crosses.

Not only is he always full of running but he is an excellent striker of a dead ball as well. By making 10 appearances and another two as substitute for the City Lions, he finished his time with Varney Cole’s side last season as a key performer.

Furthermore, he was outstanding in the APL pre-season event in the spring of 2015 and showed off his skills in the Hazelwood Park.

“Lee had a solid season,” said Ian Sendi. “He was Player of the Match against Midnimo FC after scoring from a direct corner kick.”

Benjamin forced himself into the FC Minneapolis reckoning in 2015 and looked the part at left-wing. A series of eye-catching performances proved he is up to the challenge posed by the top competition level.

The 18 year old will not be returning to Australia this summer. He will be staying with the club and all Minneapolis fans are already excited to see him grace the Einer Anderson Stadium with his speed, accuracy and ball mastery.
