The APL yesterday released the official 2016 season schedule with ten Match Days all on Saturday starting May 14 until July 30th. Six teams will battle for the front seat on the prestigious table of Upper Midwestern soccer in a contest where the club with the most points by the last Match Day will be crowned as Champion.
To embark on their campaign of furthering their dominance in the competition, FC Minneapolis will be hosting an open try out on the first weekend of March in an effort to find new players that can help the club maintain it’s position as a regional champion.
The club will be travelling to Providence Academy to face their rivals Minnesota Twinstars for a season opener that is crucial in determining how the rest of the season may go.
FC Minneapolis is set to resume it’s spring training by the end of February at the Hopkins Pavilion and most of it’s players have began reporting.
