We recently had both the Federation of Uganda Football Association and the United States Soccer Federation agree to an international football match between our first team and the Senior Uganda National Team. This means that FC Minneapolis will be the first soccer club in the United States to travel and play a senior national team in Africa, and as excited as we all are, we are also sure that this is going to be one of the toughest and most historic game of our time, so we are doing everything possible to prepare our current squad to have what it takes to face the Cranes come March 18, 2018.
We are also aware that part of that preparation means recognizing that we still have work to do which in this case, involves recruitment of promising and committed talents ready to represent our club at different footballing levels and excited about taking their first step into the journey of professional football.
If you think you are that player, if you believe you have what we are looking for, then we would like to invite you to our open trials to be held on Saturday, January 6th 2018 at the HealthEast Sports Center from 10 to 11:30 pm. Players are to expect going through a series of both fitness and skills evaluation as well as small sided games supervised by our licensed coaches to further determine their athletic abilities among other qualities.
The total cost of the try out is $100 and must be paid online before the date of the trial. No cash will be accepted at the gate.
