The Club will hold Open Soccer Trials for its Men’s UPSL team on Saturday, April 29th, 2023, at 9:00 am at the Park Center Turf Field in Brooklyn Park, MN.
The tryouts are open to males 16 and up, and will consist of each participant playing in a 30-minute, 11v11 soccer match to impress FC Minneapolis coaches and the scouting staff among other sessions. The registration fee for one (1) open tryout event is $75. In addition to the registration fee of $75, participants will be responsible for all airfare, incurred travel costs, food, and transportation to that specific event. FC Minneapolis will not help with Visas or letters of invitation to this specific event.
At the time of registration, for non-local players, FC Minneapolis will provide a hotel partner with special rates upon the player’s request. Tryouts will take place at the Park Center High School Turf Field in Brooklyn Park, Minnesota.
Players must come prepared for the tryouts with their own boots, socks, shorts, gloves, shin guards, or any other equipment related to their position. Black socks and black shorts are required. If players do not have shin guards, they will not be allowed to compete.
FC Minneapolis will provide official training shirts to wear during matches and refreshments during the session. Players will wear their own black socks and black shorts, and teams will be constructed randomly according to players’ preferred positions and coaches’ decisions.
Registrants will receive an email with arrival times, directions, and other information no later than one week prior to tryouts.
