Marcel Basabe Kato is a 20-year-old Mozambican full-back who has also had some playing experience at Costa Do Sol Moçambique, Georgia Revolution, and Mars Hill University.
The strong and fast-paced defender joined the City Lions’ camp last week and he was able to blend in well with the squad right away.
According to the club’s head coach David Oluwalaanu, Marcel will be a vital replacement for Gambia’s Demba Jameh who retired last week after almost 4 successful seasons at FC Minneapolis.
Marcel is a very hardworking and disciplined player and his positive impact is beginning to take effect in the club’s camp and dressing room.
