Today St Louis Lions and FC Minneapolis finalized friendly arrangements for May 13, 2017, at the Tony Glavin Soccer Complex in Cottleville, MO.
This will be the first-ever meeting between these two Lions and in a brief statement given out by St Louis Lions President and Head Coach Tony Glavin through their official website, he said that they are very excited about their new relationship with our club.
St Louis Lions was founded in 2005. They are a member of the USL Premier Development League (PDL), in the Heartland Division of the Central Conference.
“This is really a good opportunity. It’s a great club and they bring a good competition to our table and I hope every player and staff focuses on how we can put up a good performance in Cottleville. We owe ourselves a good performance.” Said Ian Sendi.
This announcement came shortly after the City Lions Head Coach Varney Cole came back to the United States after a 2 months vacation and shortly after the team had won their first preseason against Tonka United something which has further added to the unparalleled excitement and growing team chemistry in the City Lions camp.
