The Club will hold Open Soccer Trials for its Men’s UPSL Premier team tomorrow night on Saturday, February 10, 2024, from 8:30 pm to 11:00 pm at the Park Center Dome in Brooklyn Park, MN.
The tryouts are open to males 16 and up and participants are encouraged to arrive at least 30 minutes before the start time to get ready for registration and warm-up. FC Minneapolis will begin receiving players by 8:30 pm in the main lobby of the dome. Players must endeavor to bring their soccer gear, including appropriate footwear for turf, shin guards, and water bottles.
The Tryout will include 4 sessions. A warm-up, fitness evaluation (beep test), technical competence, and small-sided games.
This winter tryout is one of the club’s ongoing series of open trials designed specifically to identify potential local and foreign talent. More sessions in Spring, Summer, and Fall are coming up, and players are encouraged to choose one or attend them all to maximize their exposure.
FC Minneapolis’ one-day Open Tryouts are the first step in the club’s player identification process for all of the club’s programs (UPSL Premier Team, and UPSL Division 2 Team). Players who fit the club’s player profile & positional need may be referred to an additional tryout or training session as a subsequent step towards securing a roster spot.
