After losing the Cup Finals to Vlora FC last Fall, the City Lions eye yet another opportunity to redeem themselves in the State’s Premier Tournament by ensuring that a repeat of last year’s events doesn’t catch them by surprise.
FC Minneapolis started off its Fall Campaign with a forfeit from Gargaar FC which was penalized for using uncleared players in a previously concluded match and will be tested again this Sunday against their long-term rival Granite City at Fernbrook.
Following that, they will play Ebosua FC, a newer outfit in the competition and then Inter Minneapolis, a local rival they haven’t managed to break the deadlock with the last 12 months in all competitions.
According to the Cup format, the first-placed team will proceed straight to the finals while the second and third will face each other in a playoff match to determine the second finalist.
